  • Don and Helen Guegler will celebrate 76 years of marriage on Sunday, Dec. 28 at Creston Village Assisted Living and Memory Care (hosting a 76-card drive) as community members are invited to send a card to mark the milestone.  Paso Robles Daily News

CULTURE NEWS

  • Creston ranch owner John Rickwald spent three and a half months creating his Frontier Fantasy Christmas Light Display — a Western movie set lit with three miles of lights. Over 1,000 local residents visited Critter Creek Ranch on Saturday to share holiday cheer.  KSBY
  • Tickets for Rodgers & Hammerstein's The Sound of Music sing-along at Vina Robles Amphitheatre go on sale Friday, Dec. 19, at 10 a.m. local time, with the event scheduled for Saturday, June 27. The screening will show the restored 4K film complete with onscreen lyrics.  Paso Robles Daily News

  • Cal Poly released its 2026-28 course catalog as it prepares to convert its academic system to semesters this fall. Some students worry about how graduation terms and course credits may change while they decide whether to switch to the new catalog or stick with the old version.  Mustang News
