- ➤ The Coastal Discovery Center in San Simeon reopens today after a 1.5-year repair with a holiday celebration featuring crafts, ocean trivia, and a scavenger hunt (outdoor teaching stations used during closure) while a whale sound exhibit delights visitors (installed during repairs) and the reopening continues through Sunday, Dec. 7. - ➤ Paso Robles Joint Unified School District recognized 30 students on Nov. 18 for earning perfect scores on the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress for grades 3–8 and 11. - ➤ Paso Robles High School honored three Bearcat Athletes of the Week as Maverick Ortiz competed at Clovis West, Tre Clark led a key overtime win at Reedley College, and sophomore Jordyn Van Pelt impressed as a captain on defense (coaches praised their progress in recent competitions).
