- ➤ The Paso Robles and Templeton Chambers of Commerce will hold the Templeton Christmas Tree Auction and Awards Ceremony at SpringHill Suites to honor local support after the Templeton Feed and Grain fire — the Chamber named the Jermin Family as Citizen of the Year and recognized ABI Engineering and Waste Connections for their cleanup help. The community is invited to attend the event. Paso Robles Daily News
- ➤ The Rotary Club of Morro Bay will host the annual Lighted Boat Parade on Dec. 13 at 6 p.m.—spectators can view the parade along the Embarcadero and enjoy festive music by the Morro Bay Uke Ladies as boaters compete for cash prizes. Santa’s House will be open on multiple December dates for free photo sessions with Santa while vendors sell treats to support Rotary civic projects. Paso Robles Daily News

- ➤ Two Paso Robles winemakers, McPrice 'Mac' Myers of McPrice Myers Wines and Maggie Tillman of Alta Colina Vineyard & Winery, were named to Wine Business Monthly’s list of Wine Industry Leaders of 2025 after a review focused on innovation and community impact. Myers has been recognized for promoting Rhône varieties while Tillman has led creative direct-to-consumer campaigns at her family-run estate winery. Paso Robles Daily News

- ➤ Ringo Starr announced 12 new tour dates for his 2026 tour—one show will be at Vina Robles Amphitheatre on June 6—and tickets will go on sale on November 21 at 10 a.m. He prepares to return to touring with his All Starr Band, which includes musicians Steve Lukather and Colin Hay. - ➤ The 5th Annual Atascadero Fall Festival began Friday and runs for three days with free admission, carnival rides, booths, and live music on two stages at Sunken Fardens and Sunken Garden. Events continue today from 12 noon until 10 p.m. & a Colony Days Parade will roll along El Camino Real at 10 a.m. & booths and rides will be open tomorrow. Paso Robles Daily News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ PG&E will close several streets in Paso Robles on Nov. 19, 20, 21, and 22 for structure installation work; on Nov. 19, Via Magnolia will close with a detour provided, while Nov. 20 will see closures on Via Lantana and Via Fuchsia, and on Nov. 21 and 22, lane shifts + flagger-managed one-way traffic will be used. All closures are subject to change due to weather conditions. Paso Robles Daily News
- ➤ San Luis Obispo will host a free chipping day on Dec. 2—helping residents in fire hazard zones remove vegetation to lower wildfire risk. A licensed contractor will chip approved materials as funded by the State to meet wildfire preparedness standards for homes in Moderate, High and Very High Hazard Zones. Mustang News

- ➤ Hospice SLO County will host its 41st annual Light Up a Life remembrance ceremony on November 18 at 6 p.m. at the Mission in San Luis Obispo—offering the community a time to honor loved ones with candle lighting, music and poetry. A separate Paws to Remember event for lost pets will take place on December 10 at 6 p.m. at Woods Humane Society for anyone wishing to donate in memory. Paso Robles Daily News

- ➤ San Luis Obispo County Animal Services Shelter has four eight-week old rabbits named Eenie, Meenie, Miney, and Mo available for adoption at $10 each after being surrendered by their owner. Woods Humane Society featured Zee, an 8-year-old Mastiff/boxer mix with waived fees for senior pet month — he loves outdoor adventures and quiet time with his people. KSBY-TV

- ➤ Brian Arndt, a 12th grade athlete, earned Mountain League MVP at the finals in Santa Maria and became SLO County Champion at the county meet — his coach praised his work ethic and leadership, and he will run in college next. Paso Robles Daily News
- ➤ On Wednesday, high school seniors from across the West signed with Cal Poly and committed to join teams in women’s golf, women’s volleyball, men’s golf, soccer, beach volleyball and cross country for the 2026-27 season. Coaches said the recruits bring both local and international talent and will help build strong athletic traditions—setting the stage for a competitive season. Mustang News
