- ➤ Due to a storm that may drop temperatures to 38° and bring a 50% chance of rain, the warming center at 40 Prado Road is open today through Friday night to shelter up to 40 guests with a hot meal, shower, and clean clothing. Transportation is offered from Morro Bay Park at 6:15 p.m. and South Bay Community Center at 6 p.m.—guest check-in runs from 7 to 9 p.m. with the center closing at 8 a.m. each morning. KSBY-TV
- ➤ On November 11—Veterans Day—veterans were honored at the 18th annual Faces of Freedom ceremony in Atascadero as the Central Coast Vietnam Veterans Association Chapter 92 presented the Colors and guest speaker Captain Martin Tovar shared his service journey. Distinguished awards were given to Captain George Marrett and Boatswain’s Mate Third Class Richard LeGrand, and a benefit BBQ followed to support local veteran groups. Paso Robles Daily News

- ➤ Construction of the $69M Student Success Center at Cal Poly began this fall quarter at North Perimeter Road and Village Drive to provide academic services, study spaces and support for first-generation students. - ➤ The Paso Robles Professional Firefighters promoted Deputy Fire Chief Jay Enns, Fire Engineer Calvin Jennings, Fire Engineer Stan Atchison, and Fire Engineer/Paramedic Dustin Virgil and hired Firefighters Kyle Birkenfeld, Tanner Russell, Dillon Wade, Nolan Binkele, and Firefighter/Paramedic Keenan Levine to help form a new paramedic squad approved by city council.
