- ➤ California Rural Legal Assistance will offer free legal aid on housing, employment, education and health at the Paso Robles City Library on November 18, with sessions from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4:30 to 6 p.m.—low-income residents of San Luis Obispo County can attend with no appointment needed. - ➤ From Nov. 24 to Nov. 26 the Paso Robles City Library will host Dinovember events with a dinosaur scavenger hunt, photo booth, and crafts for children and families. Special programs include Paleontology Day on Nov. 24 from 1 to 3 p.m. for ages 5 to 12 and Junior Paleontology Day on Nov. 25 from 10 a.m. to noon—tickets for a movie screening on Nov. 26 at 1:30 p.m. are limited. - ➤ Central Coast Supercuts—locally owned by Troy and Jennifer Ots—will offer free haircuts to veterans and active duty military today; no appointment is needed and a valid military ID must be shown. Paso Robles Daily News
- ➤ Central Coast Moving & Storage will donate 500 turkeys to families in need across San Luis Obispo County, with 75% for North County and 25% for South County. North County families can pick up the turkeys Thursday, Nov. 20 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Adventist Health Twin Cities, while South County families will pick them up Friday, Nov. 21 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Adventist Health Sierra Vista. - ➤ Must! Charities hosted its inaugural event, The Pitch, on November 6 at Vina Robles’ new tasting room–nine local nonprofits competed and raised over $150,000 for county organizations, with El Camino Homeless Organization winning first place. Paso Robles Daily News
- ➤ Today the Central Coast Veterans Memorial Museum honors eight local veterans including two over 100 years old in its annual Veterans Day ceremony—American Legion Post 66 will serve a free lunch to help attendees learn about service from World War II to post 9/11. - ➤ Santa Margarita Ranch will host Christmas at the Ranch from November 28 through December 21, offering families a nearly two-mile train ride featuring festive displays, live-action scenes, and a North Pole Village. - ➤ Cal Poly confirmed two students fell from dorm windows and housing staff inspected safety features while reminding residents not to tamper with window screens (no details on the incident were released) (the students’ conditions remain unknown). Mustang News

- ➤ Cal Poly will begin a new general education template called Cal-GETC in the 2026-27 school year as it changes to a semester system because the school received a one-year extension to avoid running two systems+ current students can choose whether to stay with the old plan or switch to the new one, which will ease transfer credit issues. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ California health officials are investigating an infant botulism outbreak linked to ByHeart formula—preliminary tests on a sample showed bacteria that produce botulinum toxin. Parents are urged to stop using the product and seek medical help if their baby shows symptoms. Paso Robles Daily News
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Cal Poly men's basketball won 73-71 over Seattle University when Jake Davis hit a game-winning shot with two seconds left. The victory moved the Mustangs to a 2-1 record as they prepare to face Colorado State on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Mustang News
