- ➤ On November 3, a San Luis Obispo County deputy rescued a 16 year old dog stuck in the mud at Lake Nacimiento when coyotes approached — local residents helped build a bridge to free the dog, and it returned home safely with its family. CalCoast News
- ➤ Renovations have started at Dinosaur Caves Park in Pismo Beach because Margaret Wagner donated $100k, and the county will use free chlorine in the Lopez Water Project System from tomorrow to December 2; Secretary of State Shirley Weber warned voters about election text scams from a group called Ballot Now as strong early voting for Proposition 50 continues. Growers in Santa Barbara County are planting over 20,000 agave plants to fight drought—while Santa Maria held its annual Pumpkin Smash event to turn pumpkins into compost and lower landfill waste.
