- ➤ Delta Liquid Energy, a family-owned propane company in Paso Robles, is collecting donations from Nov. 3 to Dec. 8 to support local organizations—donations include new toys, non-perishable food and funds. - ➤ Yes Cocktail Co.—a Paso Robles mix company founded by Lauren Butler and Brandon Alpert—was named the number one mixer brand in the United States by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards as it marks its tenth anniversary. The company has grown from a small farmers’ market booth to serving more than 3,000 retailers and now invites visitors to its tasting room for mixology classes and guided tastings. - ➤ Cal Poly began stacking modular units on Oct. 21 to build a new student housing complex using factory-built modules from Carson. The university said the project will add up to seven residence halls over seven years + the first hall will open in fall. Mustang News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Cal Poly graduate Victor Glover will pilot NASA’s Artemis II mission to test the Orion Spacecraft’s flight fitness on a 10-day journey that will include an hour of lost contact when the crew passes behind the moon. The mission will launch in April with a crew of four and is the first major flight to the moon since 1972—its success will help set the stage for a future lunar landing. Mustang News

- ➤ Cal Poly’s food pantry saw a 25% increase in student visits compared to last fall, providing food, personal hygiene items, and fresh produce to help students facing food insecurity — it receives daily deliveries from local partners and operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mustang News
- ➤ Vitalant urged eligible donors in San Luis Obispo to donate blood this November to help hospitals maintain a stable supply as donations drop during the holiday season.
