- ➤ The Kunze family has opened the River K Pumpkin Patch for its 56th season on North River Road, where families pick their own pumpkins + explore a corn maze costing $7 per person. The farm, which grows pumpkins on the banks of the Salinas River, is open every day with hours of 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday through Sunday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on other days. Paso Robles Daily News
- ➤ Morro Bay will host the 13th annual Witches Paddle on Oct. 25, where participants dressed as witches and warlocks will paddle on stand-up boards near Morro Rock—supporting the Food Bank Coalition. More than 600 people joined last year and sea otters and sea lions were seen during the event. Paso Robles Daily News
- ➤ Councilmember Kris Beal invites Uptown residents to join her for Pizza with Kris on Monday, Oct. 27 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Pizza Express on Spring St — the free drop-in event allows neighbors to meet their council representative and share ideas in a family-friendly setting. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Catholic Charities on the Central Coast will use $1.5 million of a $5 million state investment to expand immigration services. Assemblymember Dawn Addis helped secure the funds, which will cover legal aid, rapid response and education for immigrant families—providing crucial support for low-income residents. KSBY

- ➤ Cal Poly Men’s Soccer drew 1-1 with Sacramento State on Wednesday afternoon and dropped to fourth place in the Big West — both teams showed early offensive pressure but missed key scoring chances. The Mustangs took on UCSB on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 4 p.m. in a crucial Blue-Green rivalry match to try to improve their conference standing. Mustang News
- ➤ Today, Cal Poly and UCSB started their men’s soccer Blue-Green rivalry match at Spanos Stadium, and UCSB took an early lead when defender Haruki Utsumi scored at 4:22 p.m. (the game began at 4:08 p.m.). Mustang News
- ➤ Cal Poly men's soccer lost by a score of 1 to 0 to UCSB yesterday in the Blue-Green rivalry match at Spanos Stadium, which dropped the team to fifth place in the Big West and left several key players injured. The Mustangs will face UC Riverside on Oct. 22 at 7:00 p.m.—hoping for a win that boosts their standing. Mustang News
- ➤ On Friday night, Templeton Eagles stayed undefeated with a 48–7 win over the San Luis Tigers at Templeton—junior quarterback Colton Tannehell threw for 174 yards and two touchdowns while running back Tyler Cunningham rushed 20 times for 262 yards and four touchdowns. The Eagles improved to 8-0 and will host Nipomo next Friday for their final home game of the regular season on Senior Night. Paso Robles Daily News
