- ➤ Cal Poly will open a new on-campus farm store in 2027 after Driscoll’s pledged $5 million to boost agriculture learning—construction will start in 2026 as part of the Plant Sciences Complex at Highland Avenue and Mt. Bishop Road. Mustang News
- ➤ Paso Robles Joint Unified School District has created a year-round Transportation and Facilities Support Technician role that combines bus driving with school grounds care — the job offers free training for a Class B license and a $2,000 sign-on bonus. The full-time position also provides paid vacation, sick leave and holidays — making it a strong option for local applicants. Paso Robles Daily News

- ➤ Baroness Bryony Worthington, a member of the U.K. House of Lords, visited Cal Poly on Oct. 8 for the Noyce School of Applied Computing’s Distinguished Speaker Series—she shared her work on drafting the U.K.’s landmark Climate Change Act.
