- ➤ At a Sept 5 reception at Cuesta College’s San Luis Obispo campus, the Cuesta College Foundation awarded record scholarships totaling $777,640 for the 2025-26 academic year – the event also recognized over $600,000 in extra support that brought total aid above $1.4 million. - ➤ The Paso Robles Wine Country Virtual Auction will take place Sept. 15—20 and offer over 30 packages including wine tasting and luxury getaways that support local student scholarships. Proceeds will fund the foundation which recently awarded $18,000 to 12 graduating students from local high schools. Paso Robles Daily News

- ➤ The City of Morro Bay plans to charge $5 for regular vehicles and $10 for boat trailers at the boat launching parking lot on the south end of the Embarcadero as it installs new signage and a parking machine. CalCoast News

- ➤ Sixteen-year-old Julieta Pareja, the world’s No. 1 junior from Carlsbad, will compete at the Central Coast Tennis Classic at Templeton Tennis Ranch from Sept. 22 to Sept. 28—she will face other top-ranked players in this ITF and USTA Pro Circuit event. Paso Robles Daily News
- ➤ Cal Poly men's soccer extended its nine-match home undefeated streak with a 0-0 draw against No.20 USF last Thursday—senior goalkeeper Nicky McCune made crucial saves while junior defender Parker Owens helped hold off a physical match marked by 23 fouls.
