- ➤ The Paso Robles Art Association will host a four-part portrait drawing course led by artist WB Eckert from Sept. 20 to Oct. 11 at the Studios on the Park gallery on Pine St.—Classes run on four Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon, cost $130, and are limited to ten spots for beginner to intermediate students. - ➤ By the Sea Productions will present Miracle on South Division Street by Tom Dudzick from Sept. 12 to Sept. 14 at 545 Shasta Ave in Morro Bay — the play follows the Nowak family after a deathbed confession challenges their long-held belief and will have showtimes on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. while tickets cost $15. - ➤ SLO Film Center will host its second annual Haunting Party on October 1 at the Palm Theatre—attendees will wear costumes and enjoy food, drinks, activities and live music from local alt-rock duo Ghost/Monster. - ➤ Paso Robles officials did not sign a settlement agreement to resolve a records lawsuit filed by the SLO Tribune after nearly a year of disputes—raising concerns that taxpayers may face higher legal fees, and a hearing on January 13 will decide further action. The delay comes after negotiations reduced the fees to a proposed $277,000 payment. CalCoast News
