- ➤ Habitat for Humanity SLO will relaunch its Home Preservation Program on Sept. 5 to help eligible homeowners complete critical repairs and accessibility upgrades—serving seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities while offering affordable funding options. Homeowners in San Luis Obispo County who meet income requirements and document their need must apply and partner with Habitat through volunteer work or sweat equity. Paso Robles Daily News

- ➤ California has awarded $9.5 million to REACH and local partners to launch Space Vandenberg, a project designed to boost aerospace education and develop infrastructure around Vandenberg Space Force Base. The initiative will collaborate with Allan Hancock College and local education offices to expand training programs and spur over 2,000 aerospace jobs by 2030 — placing the Central Coast at the heart of the state’s space economy.
