- ➤ Four Lanterns Winery in Paso Robles will host its Summer Concert Series every Sunday through Aug. 31, featuring live music, food trucks — and estate wines with $15 tickets for adults and free entry for wine club members. - ➤ The Atascadero Chamber of Commerce in partnership with AAUW is accepting nominations for the 2025 wINC Awards to honor women making a local impact. Nominations close Aug. 1 at 11:59 p.m.—three honorees will be recognized on Sept. 11 while one will receive the 2025 Woman of Influence Award at the Chamber’s Annual Awards Dinner and Gala in 2026. - ➤ A massive fire burned for hours at the iconic Templeton Feed and Grain on Main Street in downtown Templeton on July 4 shortly after 11 p.m.—flames shot from the top of 80-foot grain silos while firefighters remain on scene mopping up hot spots. CalCoast News
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Police arrested Miguel Angel Solisvargas—37 from Nipomo—after he intentionally struck a San Luis Obispo man on the 500 block of Broad Street on June 27 at 11:18 a.m. following a highway argument, and the victim later sought treatment for minor to moderate injuries at a local hospital. - ➤ The Cuesta Concord Chorus will host the Ann Coppenbarger Voices Unite! International Choral Festival this summer with free concerts in San Luis Obispo County from Aug. 15 to Aug. 17. Concerts include an opening set at Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa on Aug. 15 at 8 p.m., a combined choral performance at the Performing Arts Center on Aug. 16 at 7:30 p.m., and guest choir shows at Paso Robles wineries on Aug. 17 (Rava and Sculpterra). - ➤ The Paso Robles Community Emergency Response Team is hosting a disaster preparedness course for teens at Centennial Park—July 8th through 11th—and at the Paso Robles Fire Station on July 12th. Students aged 15 to 19 will learn key skills for handling emergencies and earn a Certificate of Completion and Teen CERT pack for a $50 fee. KSBY

- ➤ The wind-driven Madre Fire grew to 79,630 acres yesterday and remained 10% contained as high winds drove the blaze east in a remote area, prompting evacuations and threatening about 50 homes—firefighters expect the fire to burn for days. CalCoast News

- ➤ Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services placed a new Pierce fire engine into service at Fire Station 1 this week — replacing Engine 8191, which had been used since 2013 and handled 2,076 incidents last year. KSBY-TV
