- ➤ Cal Fire rescued an overheated dog on June 19 at a Paso Robles service center when a forestry logistics officer and Engine 52 used the jaws of life to lift a shipping container while shielding the animal from the sun. Paso Robles Daily News
- ➤ Two nine‐week‐old kittens, Maserati and McLaren, are available for adoption today at Woods Humane Society off Oklahoma Ave from noon to four p.m. + they love to play and cuddle + the shelter is busy with many kittens in foster care. KSBY

- ➤ San Luis Obispo police arrested alleged serial REI burglar Robert Wendell for attempting to steal nearly $1,700 of merchandise at the REI store on Madonna Road on June 20th—Wendell, a 62-year-old transient who had been arrested five days earlier at the same location, remains in custody with bail set at $110,000. - ➤ Tickets for the 805 Country Rodeo Finals and Monster Truck Takeover will go on sale next Tuesday, June 24 at 10 a.m. at the California Mid-State Fair, with the rodeo finals on July 26 ($40 for reserved seating) and the monster truck event on July 27 ($35 for reserved seating) both starting at 7 p.m. — these events will take place in the Main Grandstand Arena. - ➤ Drivers on Highway 46 can now use a new ramp to northbound State Route 41 that improves connections between the Central Coast and the Central Valley. The interchange is part of an ongoing project to widen Highway 46 East, with the next phase scheduled to begin in spring 2027. Paso Robles Daily News
