CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Assailants stabbed two people near W. Grand Avenue and 9th Street in Grover Beach on Saturday afternoon and officers later arrested five suspects while both victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. CalCoast News
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Low crude oil prices made gas cheaper as prices in San Luis Obispo County dropped five cents last week to an average of $5.01 a gallon—AAA data shows that some local stations now sell gas for as low as $4.39 a gallon. CalCoast News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Crews continue resurfacing Highway 58 near Santa Margarita from I Street to State Route 229; one-way reversing traffic control is in effect weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.—travel delays are expected to remain under 10 minutes. CalPortland Construction manages the 7.9 million dollars project, which is set to be completed by year’s end weather permitting. Paso Robles Daily News
