- ➤ Rite Aid said its Los Osos store — scheduled to close on June 30 — and its Morro Bay store — set to close on July 7 — will shut as part of a plan to sell or close more than 400 stores nationwide after it filed Chapter 11 on May 5. CalCoast News

- ➤ On Wednesday, May 31, the Planning Commission voted to revoke fraternity permits for Sigma Nu on Foothill Boulevard and Delta Chi on Monte Vista Plaza after multiple noise complaints from residents. A second vote on the resolution is scheduled for June 11 — officials hope it will help reduce community disturbances. CalCoast News
- ➤ The Shandon Rest Area on Highway 46 is closed for emergency repairs and will remain closed into next week—both eastbound and westbound facilities are affected along the highway about 20 miles east of Paso Robles. Paso Robles Daily News
