  • The Paso Robles City Library will host a free AI workshop titled 'Intro to ChatGPT' on June 5 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in its conference room—Albert Qian will lead the session and help residents learn how to use artificial intelligence in daily life.  Paso Robles Daily News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • At a forum on May 22, the fire department said an updated hazard map now classifies large parts of San Luis Obispo as a very high fire risk (due to strong winds and high temperatures) and will be presented to the city council on (June 3) to possibly require new defensible space rules, while urging residents to prepare emergency go-bags.  Mustang News

  • The Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics Southern California will launch June 2 at 5 p.m. at the San Luis Obispo County Veteran’s Hall. Officers and athletes will carry the Flame of Hope over a 1,500-mile route through 200 communities in seven counties—finishing June 6 in Long Beach to kick off the Special Olympics Summer Games.  Paso Robles Daily News
