- ➤ Rotary Club of Templeton is inviting residents to nominate one community member for grand marshal—someone who will lead the Fourth of July parade down Main Street on July 4—as nominations close on June 15. Nominees will be contacted to confirm their interest before a final selection is made. Paso Robles Daily News
- ➤ The Paso Robles Library Foundation received a $50,000 gift from the A.L. Falck Family Foundation to fund a new bookmobile that will bring library services to neighborhoods, schools, parks and community events. The bookmobile is set to launch later this year and will be equipped with books, technology and educational materials. Paso Robles Daily News

- ➤ Paso Robles Joint Unified School District has named Angelica Del Giorgio, a sixth-grade teacher at Kermit King, Rookie of the Year for her strong performance in her first year—she has built strong bonds with both students and colleagues. Paso Robles Daily News
- ➤ The Paso Robles Joint Unified School District named Julie Fulmer as Student Support Services Employee of the Year. She was recognized for her work supporting English learner and special education students and for leading professional development (showing a commitment to equity and inclusion). - ➤ Cal Poly has named Corey Cook as vice president and CEO of Cal Poly Solano Campus and Eric C. Jones as superintendent of Cal Poly Maritime Academy—both roles will start on July 1. The appointments are part of a merger that will fully integrate the two campuses by fall 2026. Mustang News
- ➤ Lexi Keller, a Paso Robles student, earned Dean’s List honors at Clarkson University this spring; to qualify, she maintained a GPA of at least 3.25 and enrolled in a minimum of 14 credit hours (she is a senior majoring in healthcare). Paso Robles Daily News

- ➤ Paso Robles City Councilman Chris Bausch provided over 5,700 emails and text messages to meet a court order from Judge Michael Kelley following records requests by the Tribune—he reviewed nearly 60,000 emails and over 26,000 texts and finished sending the documents on May 16. CalCoast News
- ➤ Cal Fire began live burn training on May 21 at Camp Roberts near Paso Robles with about 45 firefighters practicing on roughly 500 acres; the training continues until May 23 — smoke from the burns is visible on Highway 101 and drivers are advised to exercise caution if conditions require postponement. Paso Robles Daily News
