- ➤ The fifth annual SafetyFest event will be held at Downtown Paso Robles City Park on Saturday, June 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. First responders will lead hands-on trainings on wildfire, earthquake, motor vehicle, and cybersecurity safety. Paso Robles Daily News
- ➤ ECHO Shelter added business owners Brian Terrizzi and Randy Harding to its 14 member board on May 15 to guide its efforts addressing homelessness and food insecurity in San Luis Obispo County. Both directors have long supported local fundraisers and meal programs. Paso Robles Daily News
- ➤ California Rural Legal Assistance offers free legal aid sessions for low-income residents in the Paso Robles City Library study room. The sessions happen today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., and resume on June 2. Paso Robles Daily News

- ➤ Cal Poly agricultural business senior Joshua Van Tassel turned a class project into his startup Nibble, which sells guilt-free cheesecake bites and is backed by Real California Milk. - ➤ Lucy Bentsen, a marine science student at Cal Poly, will start a summer internship in Seattle after graduating this spring; she plans to support marine rescue and rehabilitation with her diving skills + active research. Mustang News
- ➤ Cal Poly journalism senior Isabel Hermann will attend flight school at Fort Rucker in Alabama after completing her local ROTC program. She will serve as an Army aviation officer with a 10-year active duty commitment. Mustang News
- ➤ Cal Poly computer science major Hannah Moshtaghi will move to New York City this September to work as a software engineer on YouTube at Google; she built her skills through Bay Area internships and school clubs while planning trips abroad before relocating. Mustang News
- ➤ Amanda Keith, a graphic design senior from local college, is interning at Disney Imagineering this summer to create storybook designs for park materials (she earned recognition in a design contest emphasizing Chumash culture). She aims to learn and inspire fresh magic for visitors for generations. Mustang News

- ➤ Marine science senior Jacob Hinshaw will direct North America’s largest unicycle competition and convention on campus this July. The event will bring together unicycling clubs from across the nation to showcase their skills and passion for the sport. Mustang News
