- ➤ A survey revealed that over 80% of Cal Poly engineering students oppose year-round operations because they fear lost internship opportunities & disrupted club activities. - ➤ A federal judge ordered the temporary closure of Oceano Dunes beginning Tuesday to protect endangered snowy plovers — California State Parks must secure a habitat conservation plan approved by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service before reopening the beach. CalCoast News

- ➤ On Saturday, Apr. 11, Cal Poly beach volleyball beat Cal 4-1 but lost 3-2 to Stanford at Swanson Beach Volleyball Complex. The team will play its final regular season match at the Stanford Tournament on Apr. 17-18. Mustang News
