  • Dracaena Wines will host a no-bake treat and sip social on Sunday, Apr. 26 at 5:00 p.m. at its tasting room in Paso Robles to wrap up Wine4Paws and support Woods Humane Society.  Paso Robles Daily News
  • Offshore oil drilling has resumed near Santa Barbara, raising concerns about past oil spills. Morro Bay is calling for volunteers for the Sea-Life Stewards program with applications due April 7, and the 18th annual Tour of Paso recently raised funds for local families battling cancer.  KSBY
  • Cal Fire announced that longtime firefighter Wendy Watkins, who battled cancer, died early March 19 with her family by her side. Known as a dedicated firefighter + respected community leader, her service touched many locals.  Paso Robles Daily News
  • Project 625 will see friends run 62.5 miles on April 4 starting downtown Templeton (3 a.m.) to raise funds for an adaptive bike for Brycen Killion, who was paralyzed after a dirt bike accident in December. The route passes through Cayucos, Morro Bay, and San Luis Obispo before finishing near Avila Beach.  Paso Robles Daily News
