- ➤ Hilltop Market in Poly Canyon Village does not accept EBT yet after its rebranding, but Cal Poly Partners submitted an application to the USDA on July 7, 2025 and expects to enable EBT use at the start of spring quarter (helping students shop for affordable groceries). Mustang News
- ➤ San Luis Obispo County residents can sign up for a crochet class at the Paso Robles Event Center’s Frontier Building on Wed, March 25 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.—registration closes March 20 to prepare for entries in the California Mid-State Fair’s Community Exhibits Competitions. - ➤ Cal Poly students and co-founders Mayela Fernandez + Michelle Cullen are developing Ecoplasticity, a coating from toxic sargassum that can replace plastic linings on food packaging. - ➤ Sensorio in Paso Robles offers SLO County residents a $55 locals rate on select Fridays from Feb. 27 through April 24, 2026 plus full access to light exhibits, live music, and on-site dining. Guests must show a valid driver’s license at the door as tickets sell out fast. Paso Robles Daily News
