  • FARMstead ED launched a new SLO County Farm Trail website with an interactive map that shows farms & artisan producers across the county. The group’s new 501(c)(5) status will expand local education and support for community farming, with printed maps available at member sites.  Paso Robles Daily News

CULTURE NEWS

  • Organizers previewed films on Wednesday evening to showcase diverse voices for the 32nd SLO Film Fest — themed Where Our Stories Live — scheduled for late April. The film list will be released on March 10 and readers can vote until March 2 in the 10 Best Reader’s Choice Awards.  KSBY

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Cal Poly Police is ramping up enforcement of the campus ban on electric scooters as more violations are reported. Students who ride them risk a $234 citation or can choose a $35 diversion class – a cost-saving alternative.  Mustang News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office and community partners will host a free Clean Slate Clinic at the County Law Library, 1050 Monterey St., on Friday, March 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eligible residents can receive help expunging criminal records (removing barriers to jobs and housing).  Paso Robles Daily News

SPORTS NEWS

  • Cal Poly dropped a Monday night baseball game 5-4 to Washington State at Baggett Stadium when runners on base hampered its offense. The Mustangs now face the USC Trojans in a four-game series starting today & aim to rebound in their next matchup.  Mustang News
  • Sophia Patton, a sophomore fullback at Templeton, was named Eagle Athlete of the Week after a standout CIF quarter-final match against South High, where she helped keep the opponent scoreless; sponsors (Five Star Rain Gutters and Placer Title Company) endorse the program.  Paso Robles Daily News
  • Senior Logan Camack on the varsity cheerleading team qualified for state this past weekend at the Central Section Masters Tournament (Coach Nathaniel Ybarra confirmed this achievement) as his team placed 7th nationally at the Orlando National High School Cheerleading Championships.  Paso Robles Daily News
