- ➤ On Saturday, 200 volunteers built 125 beds for local children aged 3 to 17 in northern Santa Barbara County with supplies donated by Home Depot + the nonprofit will deliver them over the next month to help reduce bedlessness in the community. KSBY-TV
- ➤ Templeton Women’s Charitable Club (since 1913) is hosting its annual Spring Tea and Silent Auction on April 1 to fund scholarships and charitable programs in North County. The club’s schedule also includes a drive-thru lasagna dinner on March 11 and a Spring Fashion Exchange on March 19 at Upscale Resale. Paso Robles Daily News

- ➤ The San Luis Obispo Film Commission is working to boost filming activity in the county in 2026 by highlighting the area's scenic variety and a streamlined permit process with city partners. - ➤ Black Pearl Sportfishing LLC and operator Brian Walker settled a civil enforcement action after local regulators found their charter misreporting rockfish catches and fishing in restricted waters, agreeing to pay $12,600 and update practices; the settlement, approved Jan. 22 (by Judge Van Rooyen), supports protection of local coastal ecosystems.
