- ➤ The California Mid-State Fair has opened registration for 2026 competitions in olive oil, wine, and craft spirits. Deadlines are March 22 for olive oil and May 17 for wine and spirits, with judging in April and June (winners will be honored at the fair and along the Cuesta Grade). Paso Robles Daily News
- ➤ Travelers at SLO County Airport will soon park right by the terminal when a new Premium Lot opens February 9 – the lot is in the former rental car area and costs $35 per day instead of $25. KSBY
- ➤ Must! Charities announced its 2026 board officers (chairman Lori Bickel, vice chairman Lynn Gray, treasurer Andy Niner, and secretary Doug Kruse) and welcomed Kelly Pope as a new Executive Board member who relocated from Silicon Valley. - ➤ In January, Cal Poly Men’s Basketball had mixed results that tightened their race for a playoff spot in the Big West Tournament (they need two more wins in eight upcoming games to secure a top seed). Mustang News
- ➤ CSUN defeated Cal Poly 97-96 on Thursday at Mott Athletics Center after Peter Bandelj sank clutch free throws & Hamad Mousa scored 33 points; the Mustangs traveled to face UC Davis on Saturday at the Pavillion. Mustang News
- ➤ The Paso Robles High School Bearcats beat Nipomo 57 to 36 Friday night to finish an 8-game win streak with a record (15 to 7) and will soon learn their playoff opponent with the first game likely at Gil Asa Gym. Paso Robles Daily News
