  • FARMstead ED launched a new website for the SLO County Farm Trail that offers an interactive digital map to locate local farms, ranches, and artisan products + printed copies are available at member locations.  KSBY-TV
  • Camping fees are rising in San Simeon and Los Padres National Forest as rates reach up to $50 per night. Field Studies Club leaders and students say permit issues and higher costs limit quick weekend trips — they aim to simplify outdoor access.  Mustang News

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Last week, SLO County gas prices increased by 10 cents to $4.54 a gallon after a winter storm disrupted supply. Drivers can find cheaper options with prices as low as $3.85 at stations in Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo (GasBuddy list updated recently).  CalCoast News

  • Cal Poly Men’s Basketball won 94 to 87 against UC Riverside on Saturday—balanced scoring featuring 17 from Peter Bandelj helped the Mustangs—and will host CSUN on Thursday, Feb. 5 to build momentum in conference play.  Mustang News
