- ➤ Cal Poly football has seen significant roster shifts as the transfer portal opened January 2 (with at least eight players including QB Ty Dieffenbach entering) under new head coach Tim Skipper, setting up changes for the 2026 season. Mustang News
- ➤ More than 400 runners and walkers gathered at Santa Margarita Lake for the 8th annual Running Chicken 5K and 10K, raising funds for the Run 4 Bitti and Brynn Foundation (which supports youth sports and honors two Atascadero High School runners killed in 2018) despite cloudy skies.
