Travel Paso awarded eight high school seniors $2,500 each at its Tourism Round Up Event on May 8—scholarships managed by the Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County support higher education costs for students from tourism families. The awards form part of a larger $625,000 scholarship program across the county this year.
A glow-themed yoga and dance fundraiser called Glow-ga and Glow Dance Party will be held on May 30 from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. at Centennial Park—600 Nickerson Drive to benefit the North County Dance and Performing Arts Foundation. The event will start with glow paint check-in from 5 to 5:30 p.m., then a glow yoga session from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. and a dance party with DJ Pancho Gonzo, with tickets ranging from $25 to $75 and optional glow kits for $5.
